In this session, an ICU nurse will describe her own personal experience of workplace violence when someone threw acid on her. Speakers will also discuss developments of their own locally grown programs for promoting clinician safety and well-being. Engage on social media about this session using the hashtag #HealthcareViolence.

Learning Objectives:

Discuss emerging threats to clinicians in the workplace, the growing need for situational awareness, and developing systems for mitigating threats
Discuss the recent emergence of personal attacks on social media, how to debrief staff when targeted, and when and how to follow up with them
