for year, contrast media was associated with AKI. more recent literature suggests there are significant limitations to these epidimiologic studies and there are distinct differences in intravenous vs intraarterial contrast media administration. this session critically evaluates litreature of contrast associated aki so audience can be better informed of true risk of AKI associated with contrast media.
