The Phoenix Convention Center is an accessible facility in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The center has accessible parking and entrances, wheelchair ramps, multiple elevators, automatic doors, accessible restroom facilities, and assisted listening systems. For accommodation requests, please call +1 602 262-6225, 48 hours before your visit.
Complimentary scooters will be available for attendee use throughout the Convention Center Thursday through Tuesday, January 18-23, 2024. Scooters can be picked up at Registration. SCCM Congress attendees can check them out from SCCM after signing a waiver provided by SCCM.
The Phoenix Convention Center has transitioned to a cashless facility and has reverse ATMs. Customers deposit cash in these cash-to-card machines and the machine dispenses a debit card with the amount they deposited credited onto the card. Reverse ATMs are located in the West Building Atrium, across from the Convention Center Information Desk, and in the North Building entrance in the front of the PHX Kitchens Downtown Food Hall.
Changing stations are provided throughout the Convention Center in family restrooms as well as men's and women's restrooms.
Congress badges are required for entrance to all Congress functions and events, including concurrent educational sessions and Connections Central (Exhibit Hall). To enter a ticketed session or event, you must present your badge. Lost badges may be replaced at the SCCM registration desk, located in the Lower Level Hall 3 Foyer. A nominal fee may be charged for replacement badges. SCCM Council members and leaders, Congress Program Planning Committee members, and Congress faculty and moderators are easily identified by the ribbons affixed to their badges.
SCCM has secured complimentary childcare services through KiddieCorp. Children aged 6 months to 12 years can attend at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel on a first come, first-served basis. Space is limited. You can register online here.
Coat and luggage check services are available near registration on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. The fee is $5.00 per item.
Congress attendees gain complimentary access to Congress Digital for continued learning after the live event. Congress Digital contains session recordings and additional opportunities to earn accredited continuing education (ACE) credits and maintenance of certification (MOC) points.
Congress Digital will be available February 23, 2024. To access Congress Digital, log in to your MySCCM account and navigate to the My Learning tab.

What if the app is not showing all content?
The app may take several minutes to load the first time you log in. While you are using the app, it is suggested that you refresh periodically to ensure you have the latest schedule. To do this, select the hamburger icon in the upper right corner and click Refresh Schedule under Your Event.
If the app is not showing all content or is unstable:
The Phoenix Convention Center prohibits firearms and weapons in all venues, except by on-duty law enforcement officers with jurisdiction. Possession of firearms is unlawful under Arizona Revised Statutes 4-244, 4-229, and 13-3102.
For immediate first aid assistance, medical services are available in the First Aid Office, located on the lower level in room B040, within Max’s Cafe. First Aid will be open during the following hours:
There are several locations to purchase food and beverages throughout the Convention Center including the PHX Kitchens Downtown Food Hall, exhibit hall concessions, vending machines, and Starbucks Coffee, which is in the West Building. In addition to the concession options, the West and North Buildings offer easy-to-use drinking water refill stations. Please note: All retail outlets are cashless and accept only debit or credit cards, Apple Pay, or Google payments.
Complimentary internet access is available in most spaces at the Phoenix Convention Center.

The Lactation Room, located at North 130, is a private space that will be stocked with water and guarded by a female security guard during Congress registration hours. Refrigeration is available for those who need to store items during the day.
The Phoenix Convention Center also offers two 4’ × 8’ private Mamava nursing pods in the atrium of the West Building and the second level of the North Building. Guests can unlock the pods by downloading the free Mamava app or by visiting the Convention Center Information Desk and speaking with a Guest Experience Representative.
The lost and found is located at the Information Desk located in North 123 Foyer.
A visionary, inventor, and teacher, Max Harry Weil, MD, PhD, MCCM, served as the first and founding president of SCCM. Dr. Weil was known to gather friends and colleagues to debate the issues of the day. He reveled in sharing ideas, sometimes well into the night. Max’s Cafe serves as a tribute to Dr. Weil’s legacy.
The cafe welcomes attendees to share complimentary coffee and conversation and to revel in the connections that Dr. Weil knew were so important to the advancement of critical care.

SCCM is offering a prayer room to attendees this year, located in the North 224B. This is meant to be a respected and safe space for anyone who may need time to pray privately. It is open to anyone who needs time for worship during Congress registration hours.
SCCM provides a quiet room, located in North 125A, to allow attendees to take a break from auditory, visual, and sensory stimulation. Attendees who need time to have a quiet moment can decompress and regroup so they are able to regulate and participate in the lectures and events.

To ensure a pleasant meeting environment for all Congress attendees, meeting room temperatures are maintained to provide optimal comfort. A light jacket or sweater is recommended. Please note that all guests, including children, must be registered for Congress. Only registered Congress attendees and guests are allowed entrance to Congress sessions and Connections Central (Exhibit Hall). People under the age of 18 are not permitted in sessions or Connections Central.
Faculty who wish to review their slides are welcome to come to the Speaker Ready Room located in North 129 at least four hours before their scheduled presentation. The Speaker Ready Room will be open during the following hours:
The Phoenix Convention Center is a LEED-certified facility committed to minimizing its carbon footprint to preserve natural resources. Recycling containers are located throughout the venues for guests to place recyclable materials in the appropriate bins as marked.
